Prosecutor reviews case of ill woman who died at Richmond Heights jail

"Beck said an internal review found the Police Department's policies comply with state and federal law."

THEN CHANGES ARE NECESSARY IN STATE AND FEDERAL LAWS!

"St. Mary's released a statement last week saying, "We followed established medical guidelines and performed appropriate tests. Unfortunately, even with appropriate testing using sophisticated technology, blood clots can still be undetected in a small number of cases.""

NO THEY DIDN'T! THE WOMAN HAD BEEN TO 3 DIFFERENT HOSPITALS BECAUSE SHE KNEW SOMETHING WAS WRONG. THE PROBLEM HAD BEEN ESCALATING SO THAT BY THE TIME SHE ARRIVED AT ST MARY IF THEY HAD DONE ALL THAT THEY COULD AS A MEDICAL FACILITY, THEY WOULD HAVE FOUND SOMETHING AND POSSIBLY COULD HAVE SAVED HER LIFE. INSTEAD, SHE WAS HOMELESS AND WAS TREATED LIKE SHE WAS LOWER THAN THE SCUM OF THE EARTH.

This case is touches a nerve with me because I have been experiencing some of the same things that this woman had been complaining about. My parents and my Pastors have been on me about seeking medical attention, but, I have been disgruntle about the medical attention or the lack thereof that I have been receiving from HMO doctors and I have insurance.

President Obama got the ball rolling on HEALTH CARE REFORM, but, it still has a long way to go under the category of QUALITY HEALTH CARE. Our country's HEALTH CARE REFORM should provide for more preventative and natural healthcare practices and less drug pushing of doctors and pharmaceutical companies.
