Michele Brock is a BIBLE BELIEVING CHRISTIAN, mother of three children, ages 20, 21 and 28, and the grandmother of a 4 year old baby girl! She is an alumni member of Chicago State University, where she earned her undergraduate degree in Liberal Arts and Science, and of Roosevelt University where she earned a Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Paralegal Studies. Michele's Personal Health and Fitness goals are to not only lose weight, but, to also tone and sculpt her body. On Monday, May 21, 2012, I started a 100 Day Results Challenge! with my friend, Megan Wessels, and several of her friends. I made the following commitment:

To eat healthier and work out for the next 100 days. Giving up sweets and pop.

Well, up until yesterday, I have NOT exercised. I have, however, been successful in giving up sweets and pop. In fact, 99.9% of my beverage intake is WATER aka H20.

I am working on the ability to eat healthier. In fact, my ultimate Diet and Nutrition GOAL is to become a VEGAN! I've connected with People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) and have even started a related group:

I included the prices because they are very comparable to what we would spend at a fast food restaurant.

This entire process is "MIND OVER MATTER"! We cannot afford to continue allowing food to have so much power and control over us. Trust me, I know! I am a Food Connoisseur of many cultural cuisines! I didn't pick up all of this weight by way of osmosis. I completely understand that we're supposed to be more cognizant of what we put into our bodies. Food is supposed to be for fuel, the thing that keeps our bodies aka machines in Top Operating Condition. Many of us take better care of our vehicles than we do our own bodies!

My next journal will be a VIDEO BLOG where I will talk to you for a few minutes, report my progress, demonstrate one of my SHAKEOLOGY recipes, and get my cardio in on my treadmill.
